Houston Rising Star PA The Writer Unites With His Frat Brothers Clay James, Larry Jr, Dawn Mula, Abu Da Don, & Ricardo P On The ‘We The Nupes Remix’ Music Video

Houston hip hop artist and Kappa Alpha Psi member PA The Writer released his song ‘We The Nupes’ in late 2023. This song garnered over 250,000 streams, viral video reactions, and a lot of attention amongst the Divine 9 and HBCU communities. PA decided it would be a good idea to add some of his fraternity brothers from all over the country to the viral hit with the intent to broaden its awareness amongst more Kappa chapters and their cities. This is how the ‘We The Nupes Remix’ was formed and it features Larry Jr, Dawn Mula, Abu Da Don, Ricardo P, Outta Space, and Clay James. Once Atlanta rising star Clay James added a verse to the song it instantly began to get more attention and awareness amongst the hip hop community. While Clay was attending Georgia State University, Outkast legend Big Boi took him under his wing and became his mentor. A few years later Clay James signed his first record deal with rap legend Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle Records imprint. With a co-sign from Big Boi and a record deal with Snoop Dogg, Clay James began to receive global exposure. Clay James saw that PA The Writer was looking for more Nupes to add to the promising song and he reached out. Shortly after, clips of Clay recording his verse began to go viral on Instagram and Facebook. This prompted PA to go ahead and get the song finished and shoot the music video. This video was shot in Houston, Harlem, and Atlanta at Morris Brown College. Today, PA The Writer releases the highly anticipated ‘We The Nupes Remix’ Music Video on YouTube and it will be premiering soon on BET Jams. You will be able to catch PA The Writer and Clay James performing their parts from the remix at the AGP Fest Presented By Atlanta Greek Picnic in the Atlantic Station Pinnacle Lot on July 26th, tickets are on sale now.

From a Toddler with a Dream to the Big Stage: The Journey of King Moore

Los Angeles, CA — Before the bright lights of Hollywood and the big stage of America’s Got Talent, there was a little boy with a dream and two parents willing to sacrifice everything to help make it come true.

King Moore, a talented young performer born and raised in Tampa, FL now residing in California, making his national debut on this season of America’s Got Talent, began dreaming big before he could even spell the word “Hollywood.” Born and raised in a loving household led by Verlin and Ivette Moore, King declared at just three years old that he wanted to be an actor, singer, rapper, model, and dancer. But like many parents who’ve experienced the entertainment world’s ups and downs, Verlin hesitated.

“I told him to come back in two years if he still felt the same,” Verlin recalls. “He never forgot.”

True to his word, at age five, King returned and asked again — this time with even more conviction. Ivette, having overheard the original conversation, reminded Verlin of his promise. As a father committed to teaching his sons integrity, he knew what had to come next: it was time to get to work.

From that day forward, the Moore family committed themselves to helping King chase his dream. Ivette left her job to focus full-time on his training. Together, they invested deeply in King’s development — acting classes, vocal coaching, piano lessons, gymnastics, and countless hours in the studio. They traveled from state to state, giving King every opportunity to perform, grow, and be seen.

Much of King’s early inspiration came from watching icons like Michael Jackson, Chris Brown, Bruno Mars, and Justin Bieber on YouTube and TV — dreams sparked by an iPad gifted one Christmas. Those early influences planted seeds that are now beginning to bloom.

Now 9 years old, King Moore has already started building an impressive résumé. He’s had small roles in feature films including Cora Bora, The Wild Robot, and CoComelon (as Cody). His face has graced national commercials for AT&T and Toyota. He’s appeared twice on the Tamron Hall Show (ABC/Disney), as well as the Portia Bruner Show (Fox). He’s toured with stars like That Girl Lay Lay, Kenan Thompson, Young Dylan, and Heiress Harris, and even co-hosted alongside Nick Cannon at the 2025 Honda Battle of the Bands at SoFi Stadium.

King also holds the distinction of being the youngest ambassador for the Black College Expo and the youngest child entertainer invited to the White House under the Biden-Harris administration. There, he spoke on gun violence prevention, reminding the nation: “Kids make up 50% of the population, but we’re 100% of the future.”

Now, one of King’s biggest dreams — performing in front of the world on America’s Got Talent — has come true. The journey is far from over, but it’s a milestone moment for a boy who dared to dream — and the parents who believed in him enough to help make it a reality.

Follow King Moore’s journey as it unfolds on America’s Got Talent this season.

Author Dwayne “Cooli Hi” Jones "Almost Famous"

We all are the sum of our choices. This book details my choices as well as the hand I was dealt to begin with. Since a small child I always had dreams of being famous through the channels of music but as we all know, you have a better chance finding a needle in a haystack than to make it big in the music business! Growing up in Baltimore City is a challenge all by itself and adding a damn near impossible dream to the mix, makes the challenge even greater. This is the story of how a young inner city kid willed his way from the hood to being featured on Sisqo’s (from Dru Hill) platinum selling single (Can I Live- Produced by: Teddy Riley) a two million dollar record deal with RCA and touring all over the world with notable artists such as The Backstreet Boys, Destiny’s Child, Nelly and many more! There’s no road map to superstardom so the path was unpredictable and a lot of times chaotic but the mission was accomplished. Or was it? Loyalty, betrayal, kidnapping & questionable murder mixed with bright lights, money, women, personal relationships, sacrifices, failure & success all are pertinent ingredients in the pot of gumbo I refer to as my life. This is the ugly truth of how I almost became famous.
